Horse Drawn Carriage Rides in Perthshire

Introduction

Kinrossie Carriages has been formed by Austin Compson-Bradford after retiring from the Army and having a lifetime interest in horses and enjoying every minute of it, along with his 4 daughters who all ride there own ponies and compete at pony club. This is very much a family business with the aim of passing on the pleasure to be gained from horses and carriages to a wider group. This is a bygone era which slows the pace of life and allows you to enjoy the beautiful Perthshire countryside, in harmony.

The Horses

The horse we use are predominately native breeds, from Pip a small mixed nave pony with bags of character, who not only pulls a carriage but is also the pony which all my Girls have learned to ride on. To the Highland Pony which is by far my favourite Bred a pony which is native to Scotland and although small usually less than 15 Hands high have great strength as they where the crofters workhouse and would pull carts, plough, and work in the forest, they where also the daily ridden horse. They come in a wide variety of shades and colours from very light grey to almost black, with many dun shades. There character is second to non as they are always willing to please and a pleasure to be with.
